Helen Louise Wickline passed away in the early morning hours of Jan. 16, 2025, after a long 88 years of life. Helen was born on Aug. 10, 1936, to the late William and Dorothy Melching in Steubenville, OH. She married her loving husband, the late Richard Owen Wickline, on Mar. 28, 1958, and devoted her life to him for the next 61 years until he passed away.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her mother-in-law, Lillian Hill, her brother-in-law, Leroy Wickline, and sister-in-law, Phyllis Wickline.

She was a loving mother to her three children, Michelle Dunbar, of Ronceverte, WV; Jeffrey Wickline and wife, Barbara Wickline, of Lordstown, OH; and Allen Wickline and wife, Kendra Wickline, of Goose Creek, SC.

Helen adored her grandchildren: Brandon Wickline and wife Megan Wickline; Marisa Dunbar; Heather Frank and husband Todd Frank; Amanda Mosko and husband David Mosko; Marlena Kirby and husband Hunter Kirby; Joshua Wickline and wife Anna Wickline; Patrick Wickline and wife Alix Wickline; Logan Wickline;  Victoria Wickline; and, Holly Dunbar, and great-grandchildren: Nolan Wickline, Teagan Wickline, Hayden Wickline, Tobias Frank, William Frank, Connor Frank, Penelope Frank,  Nicholas Mosko, Lucas Mosko, Eloise Mosko, Dallas Deem, Brooks Kirby, Nathan Dunbar, Abel Sims, and Leland Sims. Along with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, her sister, Shirley Newburn, of Bloomingdale, OH, will miss Helen dearly.

Helen’s family find comfort in knowing that her faith in God has led her to be reunited with her husband in Heaven, where they can both hear each other perfectly. She will be making quilts for all the babies and making miniature sandwiches out of her famous rolls.

Due to inclement weather conditions, the family will plan a celebration of life for Helen in the summer of 2025.

Love you, miss you, see you soon!
