Harriet Janet Cavallaro

Frankford-Harriet Janet Cavallaro, 84, formerly of Conover, NC, and raised in Keyser, WV, passed away Saturday, Dec. 20. 2014, at the Golden Living Center in Clifton Forge, VA, following an extended illness.

She was born June 16, 1930, at Piedmont, WV, the daughter of the late Harry and Sudie Trenton Ahern.

Mrs. Cavallaro was a devoted wife and mother who enjoyed cooking, entertaining, gardening, travel and bridge. She was fond of animals and enjoyed the companionship of her schnauzers. She attended Potomac State College and was a member Old Stone Presbyterian Church in Lewisburg.

Preceding her in death other than her parents was her sister, Anna Rose Haggerty of Keyser.

Surviving are: her husband of 65 years, Dr. Joseph William Cavallaro; daughter, Carole Cavallaro of Roanoke, VA; son, Alan Cavallaro and husband Joseph Naughton-Travers of Plainfield, NJ; brother, Norman Ahern and wife Joan of Lewisburg; nephews, Kevin Ahern and Norman Ahern, Jr. both of Lewisbur; Dr. Ronald Haggerty of Fort Ashby, WV and Jerry Haggerty of Cummings, GA.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
