Greenbrier Valley Theatre (GVT) will hold open auditions for Guys & Dolls Sr. on Dec. 18 and 19 from 4 to 7 p.m. Auditions will be held at Greenbrier Valley Theatre, located at 1038 Washington Street East in Lewisburg.
Those interested can stop by either day to audition – no sign-ups necessary. Participants must be 55 years or older to audition. Once participants arrive, they will fill out a contact form and conflict calendar, and be assigned a short side from the script and given time to review before auditioning. Participants may also want to prepare roughly 45-seconds of a song to sing a cappella.
“Guys & Dolls Sr. is about coming together with no pressure and no perfection, just the joy of putting a show together as a community” says Courtney Susman-Frye, Producing Artistic Director. “If you’ve ever been curious about performing, or if life has pulled you away from the stage for a while, this is a warm and welcoming way to step back in.”
Rehearsals will take place during the last two weeks of January and the first week of February, leading up to performances Feb. 4 through Feb. 7, 2026. Because this is a concert-style production, lines and lyrics do not have to be memorized – music and scripts will be on music stands throughout the performance.
