Duane Miller, president of the Greenbrier Valley Economic Development Corporation (GVEDC) board of directors, this week announced the resignation of its Executive Director Stephen Weir effective Mar. 15. Weir has held the position since November 2009. He has accepted another position in Charleston.
The GVEDC will begin the process of seeking a replacement for the position immediately.
The GVEDC is the designated economic development organization for Greenbrier, Monroe and Pocahontas Counties in West Virginia. It provides a variety of services to new and existing businesses such as: business financing, general and technical assistance, site selection, access to training and a highly skilled workforce.
