GVBOR Christmas and Awards Luncheon held at Elks Country Club

The Greenbrier Valley Board of Realtors (GVBOR) Christmas and Awards Luncheon was held at the Elks Country Club on Dec. 9. The Three Little Pigs, LLC, provided a delicious meal for the event. The sponsors for the event were City National Bank, Summit Community Bank, First National Bank, and First Citizens Bank. Robert Bittinger, Jr., GVBOR 2014 President, Coldwell Banker Stuart and Watts welcomed everyone to the festive event.

Bobbie Jackson, RE/MAX Vision Quest, was sworn in as the GVBOR 2015 President by Robert Wright, President of the WV Association of Realtors (WVAR) 2014. Past Presidents, Robert Bittinger, Jr., Coldwell Banker Stuart and Watts, Martha Hilton, RE/MAX Vision Quest; Greg Allman, Greenbrier Real Estate; Liz Wickline,Country Road Realty; Mardi McMillan, Dogwood Realty; Bobbi Jackson, RE/MAX Vision Quest; Keith Shaver and Derek Houchins, Coldwell Banker Stuart and Watts; and Suzanne Horst,Greenbrier Sporting Club passed the gavel down to the 2015 president.

Robert Wright also performed the installation of the 2015 GVBOR Officers and Directors: The 2015 Directors are: Bobbie Jackson, President; Liz Wickline, President Elect; Sherry Tokarz, Secretary; and Brad Tuckwiller, Treasurer.

Board of Directors for Greenbrier County are: Ann Bell, Ann Bell and Company; Alinda Perrine, Country Road Realty; and Ralph Nash, Old Spruce Realty; Robert Baker, Greenbrier Real Estate Service for Monroe County; Thomas Clevenger, Moutain Valley Realty for Pocahontas County; Robert Bittinger Jr., Coldwell Banker, Past President; Jill Allman, Greenbrier Real Estate Service, State Director; and Suzanne Horst, Greenbrier Hotel Corp, State Director.

Bobbi Jackson presented the Greenbrier Valley Board of Realtors 2014 Awards to the following:

• Realtor of the Year award – Martha Hilton, RE/MAX Vision Quest;

• Chairperson of the year – Bobbie Jackson., RE/MAX VIsion Quest;

• Sales Agent 2014 – Paul Grist, Foxfire Realty;

• 50 years in Real Estate – Wellington Johnson, Greenbrier Real Estate Service;

• Favorite Realtor – Alinda Perrine, Country Road Realty;

• Affiliate of the Year – First National Bank.

Also Ray Joseph, CEO of the WV Association of Realtors spoke on the current state of business and highlighted the importance of Realtor safety; for themselves and their clients.

During the luncheon, a live auction was held for the GVBOR’s Feed the Need Community Food Drive. Items donated for the auction were received from: Alan Anderson, Anderson Consulting & Design, The Front Porch; Bella, the Gourmet Shop, Laurie Larson. Cooper Gallery, Pittis Pottery, Suzanne Perilli Hancock Interiors (SPHI), Osage Pecan Company of Lewisburg, Harmony Ridge Gallery, Focus On You, Washington Street Gallery; and donations from The Greenbrier Shops were: Atlantis Leather, Virtu Studio Gallery, Gibsons, Mackenzie-Dow Fine Furniture, and Appalachian Moon Woodworks. A total of $788 was received from the auction. All proceeds will go to the local food pantries.

The Greenbrier Valley Board of Realtors would like to thank the community and local businesses for their support throughout the year and wish all a very Merry Christmas and a wonderful New Year!
