There will be a short window at the Lewisburg Farmer’s Market this Saturday from 10 a.m. – noon to get your hands on a delicious local ground pork burger topped with basil pesto, roasted garlic and caramelized onions prepared by Chef Tim Peregoy of Azimuth Organics.
Tim is an organic grower and lover of local in season food and flavors. In addition to this tasty burger, Tim will be offering two other dishes featuring the seasonal staples Zucchini and Summer Squash, 1) stuffed zucchini and squash with ground pork, cheese and roasted garlic, and 2) a vegetarian option of grilled summer vegetables topped with roasted garlic.
From 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Lewisburg Farmers Market vendors will have available all of the ingredients needed for you to recreate these wonderful dishes after you leave the market. LFM is located in the parking lot between the Post Office and the Lewisburg United Methodist Church where some weeks. LFM accepts SNAP, EBT, Senior Coupons and credit cards. Vendors offer body care products, chair massage, breads, baked goods, Persian food, sweets, lettuces and salad mix, spinach, tomatoes, radishes, spring onions, kale, chard, chicken, pork, beef, lamb, herbs and bedding plants, and unique crafts, spice blends and handmade wearables.
The members of the Lewisburg Farmers Market believe a single farmers market location in Lewisburg would benefit customers, vendors, and the community. We are willing to do our part, and have been working to create that outcome for several years.
