Performances begin November 29
Greenbrier Valley Theatre (GVT) will present the holiday comedy Miss Bennet: Christmas at Pemberley beginning Nov. 29 with a 7:30 p.m. performance.
The Bennet sisters’ escapades continue, in this holiday sequel to Jane Austen’s Pride and Prejudice. Christmas has arrived for the Bennet sisters, and middle sister Mary is growing weary watching her sisters’ romantic lives bloom. When an intriguing guest arrives unexpectedly, Mary begins to hope that her chance at love has finally come.
During a Christmas gathering at the Darcy’s estate, Mary meets and forms a connection with an awkward but intellectual guest named Arthur de Bourgh. The play follows their journey as they discover a shared passion for literature and develop a tender, unexpected romance, offering a heartwarming and witty holiday story.
“What I love most about this show is the way it transports us back to the Regency era while still feeling fresh, funny, and full of holiday magic,” says GVT Producing Artistic Director Courtney Susman-Frye. “You don’t need to be familiar with Pride and Prejudice to enjoy it because this charming and hilarious story stands beautifully on its own.”
Miss Bennet: Christmas at Pemberley will be presented at Greenbrier Valley Theatre, Nov. 29 through Dec. 13. For specific dates, times and tickets, visit https://gvtheatre.org.
