Greenbrier Valley Medical Center has announced that June Virgilio, RN, MBA, CENP, FACHE, has been appointed Chief Nursing Officer. Virgilio began her position on June 1 and brings over 20 years of nursing, healthcare and management experience to the position.
“I am excited to be a part of the successful team of dedicated employees and medical staff at Greenbrier Valley Medical Center,” said Virgilio. “I know we can build on our culture of putting patient safety first and while continuing to be an integral part of the Greenbrier Valley and surrounding communities.”
Most recently Virgilio served as the System Assistant Vice President of Oncology at Mountain States Health Alliance a 14 facility system in northeast Tennessee and southwest Virginia. Prior to her position with Mountain States Health Alliance, Virgilio served as the Assistant Administrator & Regional Chief Nursing Officer for the Mountain States Health Alliance. She graduated with her Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing and Master’s Degree in Business Administration from Indiana Wesleyan University. June and her husband, Mike, are avid motorcycle enthusiasts and are excited to be a part of the Greenbrier Valley.
