Greenbrier Valley Brewing Company will host its second annual Picklefest on Sunday, Apr. 27, from 1 to 8 p.m., featuring an afternoon of live music, food, craft vendors and beer. The event is free and open to the public.
Following the success of last year’s inaugural festival, Picklefest 2025 will return with a pickle competition, special beer release and a variety of artisan goods.
Live music will include performances by Been Fishin’ from 1 to 2:30 p.m., Herb & Hanson from 3 to 4:30 p.m., and Los Swamp Monsters from 5 to 7 p.m.
Food vendors will include The Hangar, Kitchen 304 and Aunt Beckie’s Kitchen.
The event will feature more than two dozen local vendors selling art, crafts, clothing, jewelry, and home goods. Participating vendors include Greenbrier Valley Dyes, WV Pickleguy, River & Earth Creations, Fiber and Jewels, Na’ Maste Up 247, Micks Media Jewelry, Gary Vermillion Artistry, Lutzy’s Famous Pickles, Magz Mystix, Tammy Rasnick art, Mikes Munchies, Eddie Spaghetti art, Wild and Untamed Things, Studio Kelsie, and others.
The brewery will release a special beer, The Pickleback Sour, a version of its Secret Sour barrel-aged in Smooth Ambler Contradiction barrels. Special craft cocktails will also be available at the Smooth Ambler Whiskey Wagon and the main bar.
A pickle contest will be held during the event, with two categories: Best Cucumber Pickle and Best Non-Cucumber Pickle. Contest entries must be submitted by 2 p.m., with winners announced at 5 p.m. There is no cost to enter the competition.
