Greenbrier Valley Airport is proud to announce the success of the 2026 Wings & Wheels Car Show & Fly-In, held Saturday, June 13, which welcomed an estimated 1,500 attendees and generated $25,543.92 for HospiceCare and the Peyton House.
The event brought together aircraft owners, car enthusiasts, families, and community members for a day of aircraft displays, classic and custom vehicles, live entertainment, food, children’s activities, and community fellowship in support of a meaningful cause.
This year’s event was held in honor of Bill O’Brien. Greenbrier Valley Airport extends its sincere appreciation to the O’Brien family for their generous support of the event and their commitment to helping make the fundraiser a success. Their support played an important role in the success of the event and its mission to benefit HospiceCare’s Peyton House.
“We are incredibly grateful for the overwhelming support shown by our community,” said Martha Livesay, Airport Director of Greenbrier Valley Airport. “Wings & Wheels provided a unique opportunity to open the airport to the public and showcase a side of the airport that many people may never have the chance to experience. It allowed families to get up close to aircraft, learn more about what happens here every day, and see the airport as a community asset. Being able to do that while supporting Peyton Hospice House made the event even more special. I would also like to take a moment to thank our airport team for the incredible work they did to make this event happen. Their dedication, planning, and hard work were instrumental in making Wings & Wheels a success.”
“We are deeply moved by the generosity of the Greenbrier Valley community and everyone who made Wings & Wheels such a remarkable success. Events like this make a profound difference for the patients and families we serve,” said HospiceCare CEO Christopher Rawlings. “The funds raised will go directly toward ensuring that the Peyton House remains a place of comfort, dignity, and peace for the patients and families who need it most. We are so grateful to Greenbrier Valley Airport, the O’Brien family, and every single person who attended, sponsored or volunteered. This community is the heart behind everything HospiceCare does.”
Greenbrier Valley Airport also extends its sincere appreciation to the Greenbrier County Commission Arts and Recreation Program for its support of this year’s Wings & Wheels event. Their contribution helped provide activities, entertainment, and amenities that enhanced the experience for attendees and contributed to the overall success of the event.
Following the tremendous success of this year’s event, Greenbrier Valley Airport looks forward to continuing the Wings & Wheels tradition and building on its impact in the years ahead.
