The Summit Bechtel Reserve was the site of the 2020 Boy Scouts of America Sporting Clays Classic competition on Sept. 12, which is co-hosted by the Reserve and the Buckskin Council, BSA. This was the third year of the event, and the Greenbrier County 4-H Shooting Team under Leader Mike Adkins took both the second and third place title against 11 other teams.

Makayla Scott, Catron Wykle, Ella Goodwin, and Lilly Goodwin’s team took third place, and Blaine Phillips, Mike Adkins, Steve Whited, and Steve Rollyson’s team took second place.

Richard Grist, local real estate broker and auctioneer with Foxfire Realty, has sponsored the team over the past three years by paying for their registration fees.
