Grand jury hands up indictments

The Greenbrier County Grand Jury met this week and handed up 52 indictments to the Greenbrier County Circuit Court. Two men were indicted for attempted murder in separate incidents. Jacob M. Van Buren, 23, of White Sulphur Springs, was indicted on two counts of attempted murder for the Sept. 15 shooting of a woman he lived with on Waids Draft. He allegedly shot the woman in the jaw.

Also indicted was Henry Wright, 43, of Gap Mills, who is facing three counts of attempted murder. The indictment stems from a June 2013 incident when Wright allegedly shot two men who were in a vehicle on Tanis Drive in White Sulphur Springs.

Also indicted was Joshua Jerome Brown, a Baltimore, MD, teenager who crashed into a Lewisburg Police officer’s cruiser while attempting to evade arrest.

Those indicted were:

Derrick Adkins, 23, of Rainelle, burglary, petit larceny (misdemeanor); Heather Marie Black, 32, Rainelle, grand larceny, conspiracy to commit grand larceny; Jonathan Blankenship, 24, Rupert, grand larceny, breaking and entering-auto (misdemeanor), breaking and entering; Shane M. Brinegar, 35, Hinton, burglary, grand larceny; Joshua Jerome Brown, 19, Baltimore, MD, reckless fleeing; Lanty Joe Bryant, 33, Crawley, burglary; Victoria Rose Caldwell, 33, Lewisburg, delivery of a controlled substance-buprenorphine within 1,000 feet of a school, child neglect creating substantial risk of bodily injury (misdemeanor); Sarah Elizabeth Cook, 20, WSS, uttering (3 counts); Triston Dalton Crookshanks, 19, burglary (2 counts);

Michael Charles Dalton, 40, Lewisburg, failure to register as a sex offender or provide notice of registration changes (3 counts); Jonathan Michael Dolente, 34, Renick, burglary; Terron I. Godfrey, 30, WSS, failure to register as a sex offender or provide notice of registration changes; Brittany Nichole Gray, 23, Lewisburg, breaking and entering, burglary, transferring stolen property less than $1,000 (misdemeanor); Stuart Lee Heath, 54, Crawley, petit larceny (misdemeanor), breaking and entering; Joshua Howard, 31, WSS, grand larceny, assault during the commission of a felony, reckless fleeing, attempted escape; Joseph Michael Kessner, 30, Brooklyn, NY, possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance-heroin;

Anthony Lee Kincaid, 27, Lewisburg, operating or attempting to operate a clandestine drug lab, conspiracy to manufacture a controlled substance-methamphetamine; Travis Con Kincaid, 24, possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance-hydrocodone; Jeffrey Lee King, 42, Clintonville, sexual abuse in the first degree (2 counts), sexual abuse by a parent, guardian, custodian or person in a position of trust to a child (2 counts); Nicholas Gene Lane, 34, Lewisburg, operating or attempting to operate a clandestine drug lab, conspiracy to manufacture a controlled substance-methamphetamine; Donald Ryan Linton, 31, WSS, burglary (2 counts), grand larceny; Amelia Loudermilk, 20, Rupert, breaking and entering; Joseph Luther Lowe, 21, WSS, uttering;

Anthony Marsalis Mann, 23, Ronceverte, delivery of a controlled substance-oxymorphone; Elmer Ray Martin, 46, Alderson, failure to register as a sex offender or provide notice of registration changes (3 counts); Sondra A. May, 37, Lewisburg, delivery of a controlled substance-oxymorphone, possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance-oxymorphone; Colton Gregory McCullough, 25, Lewisburg, burglary (2 counts), grand larceny, petit larceny (misdemeanor); Curtis Wayne Mentz, 27, delivery of a controlled substance-oxymorphone, possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance-oxymorphone, delivery of a controlled substance-hydrocodone, prohibited person in possession of a firearm;

Joseph Edward Morgan, 28, Frankford, possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance-heroin, possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance-oxymorphone; Justin Allen Morris, 32, Ronceverte, breaking and entering, burglary; William P. Nutter Jr., 24, Charmco, grand larceny, breaking and entering-auto (misdemeanor), breaking and entering; Shelia Sue O’Neal, 31, Quinwood, burglary; Joseph Propps, 26,Charmco, grand larceny, breaking and entering- auto (misdemeanor), breaking and entering; Juan Carlos Ramirez, 21, Lewisburg, delivery of a controlled substance-oxycodone (4 counts); Jerri Lynn Register, 48, Ronceverte, grand larceny, conspiracy to commit grand larceny; Brandon Scott Saunders, 29, Rupert, retaliation against police officer, driving under the influence-first offense (misdemeanor);

Chyna Brooke Shiflett, 22, WSS, uttering (3 counts); Bradford Curtis Shively, 60, Ronceverte, failure to register as a sex offender or provide notice of registration changes (3 counts); Caitlyn Simons, 23, WSS, gross child neglect creating substantial risk of serious bodily injury or death; Eric Scott South, 32, Union, grand larceny, breaking and entering; Charles Allen Stanley, 36, Lewisburg, delivery of a controlled substance-marijuana, possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance-marijuana; Erik Benjamin Stull, 22, Lewisburg, sexual assault in the first degree; Jacob M. Van Buren, 23, WSS, attempted murder (2 counts); Christopher Wayne Vance, 27, Ronceverte, grand larceny, breaking and entering; Matthew Tyler Vaughan, 25, Beckley, fraudulent use of an access device (4 counts);

Chasity Ann Ware, 30, Lewisburg, fraudulent use of an access device (3 counts); Clayton Ware, 32, Lewisburg, forgery of a public record; Thomas Wayne Ware Sr., 61, Frankford, failure to register as a sex offender or provide notice of registration changes; Crystal Williams, 26, Lewisburg, child abuse resulting in serious bodily injury; Jerry Workman Sr., 65, Caldwell, failure to register as a sex offender or provide notice of registration changes; Henry Wright, 43, Gap Mills, attempted murder (3 counts), prohibited person in possession of a firearm; Lori N. Young, 33, Cool Ridge, embezzlement.

Greenbrier County Circuit Judge Robert E. Richardson’s arraignment hearings are scheduled for Friday, Oct. 16, at 9 a.m., and Judge James J. Rowe’s Arraignment Hearings are scheduled for Friday, Oct. 23, at 9 a.m.
