The Greenbrier County Grand Jury met this week and handed up 52 indictments to the Greenbrier County Circuit Court. Two men were indicted for attempted murder in separate incidents. Jacob M. Van Buren, 23, of White Sulphur Springs, was indicted on two counts of attempted murder for the Sept. 15 shooting of a woman he lived with on Waids Draft. He allegedly shot the woman in the jaw.
Also indicted was Henry Wright, 43, of Gap Mills, who is facing three counts of attempted murder. The indictment stems from a June 2013 incident when Wright allegedly shot two men who were in a vehicle on Tanis Drive in White Sulphur Springs.
Also indicted was Joshua Jerome Brown, a Baltimore, MD, teenager who crashed into a Lewisburg Police officer’s cruiser while attempting to evade arrest.

Greenbrier County Circuit Judge Robert E. Richardson’s arraignment hearings are scheduled for Friday, Oct. 16, at 9 a.m., and Judge James J. Rowe’s Arraignment Hearings are scheduled for Friday, Oct. 23, at 9 a.m.
