Goldie Shortridge Westfall

Lewisburg-Goldie Shortridge Westfall, 53, of Muddy Creek Mountain, passed away Wednesday, Apr. 17, 2019, from a long illness.

Born Nov. 8, 1965, in Lewisburg, she was the daughter of Alice Shortridge and the late Calvin Shortridge.

Goldie was of the Methodist faith.

Survivors include her loving mother and caregiver, Alice Shortridge, where Goldie made her home.

Goldie had one son.

Survivors include: brothers, Murl Shortridge of Maxwelton, Bennie (Ann) Shortridge of Lewisburg, and Paul (Melissa) Shortridge of Lewisburg; sisters, Kathy (Clifford) Stone of Ronceverte, Linda (Gary) Elmore of Second Creek, and Millie (Matthew) Williams of Alderson; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Graveside services were held Thursday, Apr. 18, at the Asbury Cemetery in Asbury where her nephew Barry Stone officiated. Family and friends served as pallbearers. The family would like to thank all of Goldie’s neighbors for being there when needed most.

Morgan Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
