Gladys Erskine Hamrick, 96, passed away Saturday, Aug. 10, 2019, following a short illness.
Born Nov. 28, 1922, in Lowell, WV, daughter of the late Elmer Leondis and Mamie Walkup Erskine.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Carol Sue; great-grandson, Carrington Brackenrich; and husband, Frank Nathan Hamrick.
Surviving are her children, Peggy Walkup of Lewisburg, Connie Jo Shiflett (Ennis) of Dundalk, MD, William Frank Hamrick (Barbara) of Baltimore, MD, Geraldine Hope Dowdy (Donnie) of White Sulphur Springs, Robert Neal Hamrick (Lila) of Grassy Meadows, and Debra Sue Wilson (Bill) of Grassy Meadows; 12 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren.
She was very much loved and will be missed by all.
Graveside service was held Tuesday, Aug. 13, at Wallace Memorial Mausoleum in Clintonville, where Rev. Donnie Dowdy officiated.
Visitation was one hour prior to the service at the Mausoleum.
