Hilldale-Daniel Ray Wikle, 69, passed away Monday, Aug. 12, 2019, at The Doug and Lucy Bowers Hospice House in Beckley, following a short illness.

Born Aug. 16, 1949, in Jumping Branch, he was the son of the late Herman and Myrtle Trivett Wikle.

Mr. Wikle graduated in 1969 from South High School in Cleveland, OH, and was a member of the Little Wolf Creek Baptist Church at Hinton. He enjoyed listening to audio books and movies and loved to spend time with his family and his church family.

Survivors include his sister, Ann Slatton and husband, Tim, of Forest Hill, WV; two nephews, Anthony Slatton and wife, Laura, of Danese and Steven Slatton and wife, Sarah, of Princeton; three great-nephews, Logan Slatton, Mason Slatton, and Waylon Slatton; great-niece, Emma Slatton; and special friend, Linda Morrison of Hilldale.

Funeral services will be Saturday, Aug. 17, at 1 p.m. at Lobban Funeral Home Chapel in Alderson, with Preacher Eddie Harris officiating. Burial will follow in Greenbrier Memorial Gardens in Lewisburg.

Friends may call Saturday, Aug. 17, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the funeral home.
Family, friends, and his church family will serve as pallbearers.
