Edie McMillion is a new member to the track team, as well as track itself, and says her favorite subject in school is English. She decided to join track because she enjoys new challenges. Her favorite quote is, “The greatest pleasure in life is doing what people say you cannot do.” Edie hopes to score some points in pole vault and long jump this season.

Kaylee Dixon, a returning member from last year, enjoys science. She likes to run because it makes her feel good about herself and she enjoys being part of the team. Kaylee’s favorite quote is, “There are no shortcuts to any place worth going.” Kaylee intends on improving her times from last season and bringing home some ribbons.

Another new member to the team and track is Evan Vaughan. Evan’s favorite subject is history. He joined track this season to challenge himself to learn new sports techniques.  Evan’s favorite quote for motivation is, “It does not matter how slowly you go as long as you do not stop.” Evan hopes to give Coach Tre Moore a run for his money as the school record holder in discus and shot put.

Spencer Beery is returning to track after taking last season off.  Spencer runs track because he likes being a part of a team. His favorite subject is math, and his favorite quote is, “Horses don’t stop, they keep going.” Spencer is ready to rack up the blue ribbons this year in the 800 and 4×800.
