Gearldine Susan Holliday

Ronceverte-Gearldine Susan Holliday, 73, passed away Wednesday morning, Oct. 29, 2014, at the Brier Nursing Facility in Ronceverte.

Gearldine was born Feb. 18, 1941, in Ronceverte and was the daughter of the late John R. and Lottie Deaver Holliday.

She was a member of Bethel Pentecostal Holiness Church at Organ Cave. John R. and Lottie Holliday owned and operated Holliday’s Greenhouse on Greenhouse Road off Mike Stuart Road, South Ronceverte. Upon Mr. Holliday’s declining health, Gearldine and her brother Albert assumed the responsibility of running the family business until their declining health.

Surviving are her brother, Albert Holliday of Ronceverte and several cousins.

Funeral services will be Friday, Oct. 31, at 2 p.m. at Bethel Pentecostal Holiness Church with Pastor Wes Comer officiating with interment to follow at the church cemetery.

The family will receive their friends from 1 p.m. until time of services at the church.

Wallace & Wallace Funeral Home in Ronceverte is in charge of arrangements.
