Trillium Performing Arts presents “From the Ground Up” at the historic Lewis Theatre in downtown Lewisburg. Artistic coordinator Carli Mareneck explains, “The title is inspired by the strength needed to rebuild when things seem to fall apart whether from natural disasters or from within.”
$1 from each ticket sale will be contributed to Race Matters/Greenbrier County. This diverse group is working “from the ground up” to present “Now Is the Time,” an educational summit to bring people together to raise awareness, educate and confront racism in all its forms. The summit is being held at the Greenbrier River Community and Technical College in Lewisburg in the Kyle and Ann Fort Arts and Science Building on Friday, Feb. 23, from 5-8 p.m. and Saturday, Feb. 24, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. For more information on the summit email racemattersgbv@gmail.com.
