Did you know that there is a salt industry in West Virginia? The Williamsburg WVU Community Educational Outreach Club learned a lot about how salt is extracted and where it is mined in West Virginia.
The club met on Tuesday, Mar. 10, from 12 noon to 2 p.m. to enjoy a potluck lunch and a time of fellowship and sharing since not having met over the winter. Burl Post shared the information on the WV Extension lesson Brine to Boom: The Salt Industry in West Virginia. Health Motivator Shela McComsey led members in exercises to promote agility. Gifts for the children at the Greenbrier Valley Children’s Home were collected and delivered.
The club will meet again on Apr. 14 from 12 noon to 2 p.m. at 700 Tyree Road (The Red Roof House) to share and learn. All are welcome to attend. You’ll be surprised at what a great time you will have!
