The Friends of White Sulphur Springs National Fish Hatchery will host their annual Freshwater Folk Festival on Saturday, Sept. 6, offering a day of free family-friendly activities, live music, and educational exhibits.
The festival is scheduled from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the White Sulphur Springs National Fish Hatchery, located at 1087 Main St E. Admission is free, and events will proceed rain or shine.
Attendees can enjoy a variety of offerings, including food trucks, educational exhibits, and live music throughout the day.
The musical lineup features “Common Ground” performing from 10 a.m. to noon, followed by musician Jim Snyder with Samuel James & Bob Riggelman from noon to 2 p.m. The afternoon will conclude with nature presentations from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m.
The Freshwater Folk Festival aims to celebrate the region’s aquatic heritage and the work of the National Fish Hatchery.
