The streets of Downtown Lewisburg will be filled with runners and “walkers” on Saturday, Oct. 25, as the “Run United” ½ Marathon and “Run of the Living Dead” Zombie 5K Run come to town.

New this year, runners can receive a free massage at the end of the footrace. Restore and Renew, a local medical massage business, will offer 10-minute massages at the finish line. Restore and Renew is located in Lewisburg and offers massage and manual techniques to help individuals with pain management, stress reduction, post-surgical healing and to enhance overall health.

Owner Jamie Ewing has over 13 years experience as a therapist. She is a nationally certified and licensed massage therapist as well as a licensed physical therapist assistant. Ewing says, “I am excited to volunteer my time for a great cause. I believe it’s important give back to our community and support healthy endeavors in our community.”

Online registration is available at www.TriStateRacer.com/RunUnited. Forms can also be downloaded and returned with payment to United Way, P.O. Box 572, Lewisburg, WV 24901.

For more information contact Cindy Lavender-Bowe at 304-647-6783 or cindy@unitedwaygreenbrier.org. For updates, like us on Facebook at Facebook.com/UnitedWayGreenbrier.
