Freda Florence Hylton, 67, of Lewisburg, WV formerly of Gap Mills, WV passed away Thursday, June 28, 2018 at the Peyton Hospice House, Lewisburg, WV. Born May 27, 1951 at Second Creek, WV she was the daughter of the late Truyleon and Grace Bland Adams.  Freda retired from Goodrich in Pickaway and attended the Union Church of God.  In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a sister, Ada Mae “Asie” Adams and brother in law, Robert Pettry.  Survivors include her daughter with whom she made her home, Kim Gilkeson and husband Doug of Lewisburg, WV, sister, Connie Pettry of Beckley, WV, former husband and lifelong friend, Dorris Ray “Boots” Hylton of Lewisburg, WV, grandchildren, Micah, Meshach, Melish and Malaysia Gilkeson of Lewisburg, WV, great grandchildren, Kailaini, Haiden, Rylan and Holden, a great grandson on the way, “Sister” Rosie Vance and husband Harry of Ronceverte, WV a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and her two dogs, Maymee and Maycee.

Funeral service will be 11:00 AM, Monday, July 2, 2018 at the Morgan Funeral Home, 252 Montvue Drive, Lewisburg, WV with Shirley Glover and Neal Holliday officiating.  Burial will follow in the Salem Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Organ Cave, WV.  Visitation will be 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Sunday, July 1, 2018 at the funeral home.  The family would like to thank Patchilla Carter, caregivers and the rest of the Hospice Care team for the excellent care provided.  In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations of sympathy be made to HospiceCare – 1265 Maplewood Avenue, Lewisburg, WV 24901.  Online guestbook can be signed at www.morganfh.net.  Arrangements by Morgan Funeral Home, Lewisburg, WV.
