Edith’s kicks off February with a Winter Wellness Demonstration, to illustrate how immunity and wellness can be supported through every day food choices. Available for tasting will be a variety of options, including “tame-a-cold soup” and elderberry syrup. The Greenbrier Valley Visitors Center premieres their 2015 “Art in the Valley” series with an exhibit of oil paintings by local artist, John Telisko. Stop in to meet John and view his beautiful artwork. Strum Sum Band will provide musical entertainment throughout the evening and representatives from The Greenbrier Humane Society will be on hand to promote their “Fill the Shelter with Love” campaign. The Greenbrier Valley Women’s Fund invites all members of the community to support the improvement of women’s health by wearing red on First Friday and to join them in the City Green Space, downtown Lewisburg at 5 p.m. for a community photograph to raise awareness about heart disease.
