Meet Chuck. Chuck is the self-proclaimed overseer and manager of Dick Gunnoe Memorial Park in White Sulphur Springs. Chuck can claim the titles of “greeter,” “mascot” and many others. Over the years, Chuck departs his home with Mike and Elizabeth Baker and can be found patrolling the park by his home. Often seen sunning himself on the tennis courts, he has welcomed the current WTT players to his practice court. Payment is provided in pets, pats, and treats.
Chuck is his own celebrity, seldom avoiding a greeting. Present for the PGA bus riders in previous tournaments, Chuck escorted many folks to their destination. He graciously permits entrance and interaction to the areas he patrols.
