Eva McVey is holding a benefit concert to assist Sgt. Deny Doss and his family. Doss is an Iraqi War Veteran, who was severely injured in a car accident Oct. 18, on I-64. He received many injuries, including a broken femur, and has been unable to work. His car was totaled with only liability coverage. He and his wife, Mickaela, have two children: Morgan and Ashlyn. Doss is currently attending NRCTC, and is a member of Phi Theta Kappa.

Eva, 17, is a Nashville recording artist, who sings Contemporary Christian and other genres of music. She trains vocally in Nashville, as well as recording there. She is well known in this area for her rendition of the National Anthem, which she sings at Alderson 4th of July and other celebrations in the area, as well as at Greenbrier East High School basketball games. She also does the Anthem daily at the WV State Fair, and sings it at WVU Basketball games. Eva has sung in many venues around the country; even recently at the Gaylord Opryland Resort in Nashville. Her album is currently on iTunes and is getting nationwide radio airplay. She will be singing Christian, as well as Christmas music for the concert.

The concert will be held on Saturday, Dec. 6, at 6 p.m. at the Greenbrier Avenue Church of God in Rainelle. There will also be a bake sale and a raffle. Admission is free, and a love offering will be taken. All proceeds from the concert will go to the Doss family. Come out and support a Veteran who fought for you! For information, call 304-667-3532.
