Eugene Elmer Bostic

Organ Cave-Eugene “Gene” Elmer Bostic, 90, passed away Monday, Oct. 21, 2013, at his home in Organ Cave, surrounded by his family.
Born July 25, 1923, at Fort Spring, he was the son of the late Elmer Bostic and Annie Dowdy Bostic.
Eugene was retired from Southern States in Ronceverte. He was a WWII Veteran, having served in the US Army in Scotland, England and France and in the invasion on the beaches of Normandy.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Madeline Aleshire and Lovella Lephew, and brother, Clarence Bostic.
Eugene is survived by: his wife, Geneva Wilson Bostic; three daughters, Phyllis (Ronnie) Osborne of Wolf Creek, Drema (Sidney) Trent of Organ Cave and Alissa Bostic (fiancee James Bragg) of Gap Mills; three sons, Ronnie (Brenda) Bostic of Surveyor, David Bostic (fiancee Hazel Bittenger) of White Sulphur Springs, and Jeff (Mary Ann) Bostic of Pickaway; former son-in-law, Roy Hughes of Zenith; grandchildren, Rodger Trent, Todd Trent, Mark Trent, Crystal Harless, Keith Bostic, Daniel Bostic, Matt Bostic, Kerri Dunbar, Katrina Wade and Ethan Hughes; and seven great-grandchildren, Chloe, McKenzie, Ciara, Brayden, Eden, Liam and MacKenzie.
Honoring Eugene’s wishes, a graveside service with military honors was held Thursday, Oct. 24 at Sinks Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, Sinks Grove, where Rev. Mike Wilson officiated.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to HospiceCare, Inc., 223 Maplewood Avenue, Lewisburg, WV 24901.
