Eric Matthew Rider, 46, of Lilly Park, Rainelle passed away on Saturday, October 5, 2024, at his home. He was born on September 8, 1978, in Manassas, VA; he was the son of Teddy Harold Rider, Jr. and Karen Faye Adams Rider.
Eric was a US Navy veteran. He was an EMT with Jan Care Ambulance. He enjoyed golfing, being with family, helping others and working as a welder and a mechanic. He cared about everyone he met, and he will be greatly missed.
Those left to cherish his memory are his parents, Teddy and Karen Rider of Corliss; wife of 27 years, Michelle Armstrong Rider; daughter, Erica Anderson (Dakota) of Crichton and Caitlin Rider (Cody Ramsey) of Oak Hill; brother, Nathaniel Rider of Oak Hill; two grandchildren, Colby and Luca; two nieces, Ryle Rider and Callen Rider as well as two other nieces and three nephews; extended family and friends.
Service will be 7:30 p.m., Thursday, October 10, at Wallace & Wallace, Rainelle with Pastor Michael Rodgers officiating. Visitation will be from 6 p.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.
