The Emma Alderson Christian Academy has recently been established in Alderson and is a new ministry of the Old Greenbrier Baptist Church. This Christian preschool and afterschool program will be opening in August 2015. The newly formed Emma Alderson Christian Academy (EACA) is preparing now for children and families in Alderson and the surrounding area. The vision of the EACA is to meet the needs of families in our community by providing high quality developmentally appropriate educational preschool and afterschool care in a Christian environment. The preschool program will follow the philosophies for early childhood education. The curriculum will provide for an environment that meets the developmental, emotional and education needs of children. The afterschool program will provide homework help, recreation, crafts, games and snacks. “God has provided so much for us already and we are really excited about our program,” said the Academy’s Director Jodi Wiseman.
The Academy will have a float in the Alderson 4th of July parade and an information table on the Alderson Memorial Football Field where families can stop by and meet the staff and ask questions. There will also be giveaways for the children.
The EACA will follow the Greenbrier County public school calendar. Registration has begun. To register your child(ren) in either program, please call 304-992-9312. You can check out their website at: http://oldgreenbrierbaptistchurch.typepad.com/site/emma-alderson-christian-academy.html.
