Ella Durrett Yeager

Ella Durrett Yeager, 94, went home to be with the Lord Thursday, Mar. 29, 2018.

Born and raised in Barbour County, she was the daughter of Dewey L. and Bernice Simon Durrett, and became a longtime resident of Lewisburg.

In addition to her parents, Ella was preceded in death by her husband, Herman G. Yeager; sister, Carol L. Durrett; and brother, Dewey B. Durrett (Pauline Stefanic).

She is survived by her sister, Margaret Gutshall (Mervin, deceased); brother, Jim Durrett (Janette, deceased); daughters, Jennifer Y. Risher (Derrell) and Kristen Y. Potson (Dan); sons, Herman J. Yeager (Carolyn) and Charles E. Yeager; five grandchildren; two step-grandchildren and spouses; two step-great-grandchildren; and many close friends.

Funeral service were held at Lewisburg United Methodist Church Wednesday, Apr. 4, where the Rev. Rick Brown and Pastor Richard McCallister officiated. Interment was in Greenbrier Memorial Gardens.

Visitation was held Tuesday evening, Apr. 3, at McCraw Funeral Home in Lewisburg.

In lieu of flowers, donations of sympathy may be made to Lewisburg United Methodist Church or the charity of your choice.
