EGMS plays final match of the season

The EGMS golf team played their final match of the season at the Greenbrier Hills Golf Course in Rainelle, on Wednesday, May 7. Twenty-seven of the 29 players competed against six players from Western Greenbrier Middle School on the Par 35 course for nine holes.

Western scores were as follows: Ethan O’Dell 49, Justin Brown 54, Luke King 58, Alex Ayers 59, Levi Spencer 65 and Dakota Parker 70.

EGMS scores were as follows: Colin Wiley 41 (Medalist), Philip Zambos 45, DeAndre Griffith 46, Sam Jewell 47, Ryan Nuckoles 47, Norris Beard 47, Carrington McCray 49, Wyatt Lewis 50, Noah Hancock 54, Brett Napier 55, Berkley Adwell 55, Hayden Davison 56, Patrick Plaugher 56, Savanna Soucier 58, Garrett Vaughan 59, Justin Hylton 62, Colby Hughes 64, Kyle Ballard 64, Gabby Gessie 64, Peyton Pack 66 and Kara Vaughan 67.

Jed White, Kyle Morgan and Keegan Fitzgerald played a captain’s choice and had a team score of 62. Callie McFerring, Cat Ziegler and Suzanne Bicksler also played a captain’s choice and had a team score of 70. Trey Ewing was sick and Makayla Neely was unable to attend. Both were unable to play.

This was the last day of the season that has experienced many bad weather days, which cancelled practices and matches. It has been a good experience and season for all of the players.
