EGMS Golf team’s first match

The EGMS golf team had their first match at the Lewisburg Elk’s Club on Tuesday, Apr. 8 with Pikeview, Pineville, and Western Greenbrier middle schools. The low three scores for 9 holes were counted on the front 9 holes which is a par 34. Pineville finished first with a total of 139. Eastern Greenbrier team #2 finished second with 150. Individual scores were Josh White 48, Scott Soucier 49, Sam Jewell 53, Sam Snyder 57, Garrett Vaughan 59 and S.J. Goodwin 59. Pikeview was third with 163. Eastern Greenbrier team #1 was fourth with 169. Individual scores were Gavin Ray 52, Jacob Hefner 58, Brandon Barnes 59, Drew Bashlor 60 and Jensen Brown 60.Western Greenbrier finished 5th with 176. Individual scores were Colby Brown 56, Thomas Vestal 58 and Alex Ayers 62.

The medalist was Carson Proffit 39 from Pikeview, second was Patrick Smith 40 with Pineville and third was Josh White 48 with Eastern Greenbrier, and Hunter Cantrell 48 with Pineville.

EGMS next plays at the Lewisburg Elk’s Club on Apr. 24 with Western Greenbrier and Summers County. All 22 boys and 3 girls from EGMS will play.
