Ronceverte-Edward Hobert “Chops” Daniels, 83, passed away Sunday, Feb. 5, 2023 at Greenbrier Valley Medical Center following a short illness.
Born Sept. 8, 1939, he was the son of the late Samuel Daniels and Eva Daniels.
He was employed at The Greenbrier Hotel for a number of years then worked many years for Orders Construction Company until he was disabled 25 years ago.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a daughter, Tamela Daniels; two sons, Hobert Daniels and Charles Hefner; and a long-time companion, Shelby Daniels.
Survivors include daughters, Renee Wilmer, Toni Daniels, Brenda Hubbard (Damon) all of Ronceverte and Marlo Daniels of Alderson; sons, Deron and Craig Daniels of Ronceverte and Hubert Wilmer of Charleston, WV; sisters, Elaine Daniels of Ronceverte and Faye Blue of Wilmington, DE and brother, Ronald Daniels of Ronceverte; ten grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held Saturday, Feb. 11, at 1 p.m. at Wallace & Wallace Funeral Home in Lewisburg.
