Greenbrier County early voting starts at Greenbrier County Courthouse and Rupert Community Center

By Sarah Richardson

Early voting is underway in Greenbrier County for the May 12 Primary Election. Both the Greenbrier County Courthouse and the Rupert Community Center are now open for area voters to cast their ballot for local candidates running in the primary.

The Greenbrier County Courthouse, located at 912 Court Street North in Lewisburg, is holding early voting in the downstairs courtroom in the original section of the courthouse, as in years past. Early voting runs from April 29 through May 9 every day except for Sundays. Hours of early voting operation are 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, and Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

At the Rupert Community Center, located at 604 Nicholas Street in Rupert, early voting also runs from April 29 through May 9 every day except for Sundays, but with slightly different hours. They are open from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, and from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturdays.

Any registered voter in Greenbrier County may vote early at either location. On Election Day, May 12, voters must vote at their assigned precincts. Visit GoVoteWV.com to find information about your precinct, view you sample ballot, and find other election information, or call the Greenbrier County Courthouse at 304-647-6689.
