Dorothy Mae Hoke

Covington, VA – Dorothy Mae “Dottie” Hoke, 64, passed away Friday, July 13, 2018, at the Peyton Hospice House in Fairlea.

Dorothy was born Sept. 5, 1953, in Ronceverte, to the late Dorothy Irene Ridgeway.

She worked at Walmart for many years.

Other than her mother she was preceded in death by her husband, Tommy S. Hoke; sisters, Rose Vance, Shelby Tomlinson, Joyce Coffman, Louise Hood; and brothers, William “Bud” Ridgeway, Lacy Turner, and Jimmy Turner.

Survivors include sons, Tommy Edward “Tink” Hoke (Melanie) and Brian Hoke (Sandra); sisters, Peggy Holiday (Erskine) of Ronceverte, Bonnie Demo (Joe) Roscommon, MI, and Sandy Bucklen (Vernon) of Lewisburg; and grandchild, Makilynn Mae Hoke.

Services were held on Wednesday, July 18, at Wallace & Wallace Funeral Home in Lewisburg, where Pastor Gene Sizemore officiated. Burial was in Hokes Chapel Cemetery in Covington, VA.

Visitation for the public was held at the funeral home before the service.

Pallbearers were friends and family.
