The Lewis Theatre has provided an update on its Kickstarter page about the delay in reopening. There have been delays due to travel issues. The dealer comes from Charleston, the audio guy from Ohio; and the projector tech from Pennsylvania. Holidays and snowstorms have interfered with getting those three entities here at the same time.
The new digital projector is in the booth and powered up. Nine speakers have been added to the existing sound system and mounted throughout the theatre. Devin Preston of the Lewis Theatre says, “All that is left is for the installers to connect the sound to the projector and show us how to use them.”
Hope is on the horizon, the Lewis promises to have all components together very soon and will announce the 75 year celebration of the theatre.
