Dennis James Boggs, born on Dec. 24, 1954, in Baltimore, Maryland, passed away peacefully on Dec. 9, 2024, in Roanoke, Virginia. He was the beloved son of the late Homer James Boggs and Loutecia Ola Ward Boggs Brackman.

Dennis was a devoted father to his four children: Christy, Natasha, Dennis, and Whitney, who were the center of his universe. His heart swelled with pride for his grandchildren, Tai, Jessica and Bodhi, whose laughter and joy brought endless delight to his life. As a loving brother to Donnie, David, Danny, Tim, and Doug, Dennis’s presence will be profoundly missed. He now joins his parents and sister, Barbara “Bobby” in eternal peace.

A skilled painting contractor and talented musician, Dennis was also a lifelong Colts fan. Known for his sense of humor and genuine warmth, he touched the lives of many with his kindness.

As we bid farewell to Dennis, we celebrate a life rich in love and honor the profound impact he had on those fortunate enough to know him. His spirit will forever illuminate the hearts of his family and friends, serving as a lasting reminder of the joy, love, and laughter he brought into the world.

A celebration of life will be held at White Sulphur Springs Chapel on Dec. 28 at 4 p.m.

The family will receive family and friends from 2 p.m. until time of services on Saturday, Dec. 28, at the funeral home
