Denim Day Benefits Area Charities

Ann Thomas, chairperson of the First Baptist Church of Rainelle Food Pantry

You may have seen our RCBC clinic team wearing blue jeans on Fridays, but did you know they are doing so for a good cause? “Denim Day” is a fundraiser where our team has the chance to break our dress code policy if they donate $2 to a local charity each Friday. Every year, we all vote to decide which charity receives these funds. Over the next few weeks, RCBC will be meeting with many of these local organizations who do so much for those in need.
Ann Thomas is the chairperson of the First Baptist Church of Rainelle Food Pantry. This group works to help families in Greenbrier County and the surrounding areas. They distribute food boxes to over 200 families every month (221 boxes were distributed during the month of January 2023). Robert C. Byrd Clinic thanks this church for the service they provide for those who are hungry in our community, and we are excited to be able to help in any way we can!
