Deadline for Greenbrier East arts and craft show participants November 7

The deadline to register as a vendor in the first Greenbrier East Spartan Marching Band Arts and Crafts Show and Sale is Nov. 7. Applications are available on Facebook by visiting “Greenbrier East Spartan Marching Band.”

Vendors have registered from throughout West Virginia and neighboring Virginia and, “We have plenty of room for more,” noted Chairperson Elaine McKellar Jaspearse of the show facility. The event which will encompass as much of available space as possible in the “B” building area which houses the main office complex, the cafeteria, gym and auxiliary gym, commons area and front portico.

Greenbrier East High School is a 44 acre campus with what would be considered eight buildings enclosed as one and with ample parking in front of and behind the “B” area being used for the arts and crafts show. It is located on US 219 South in Fairlea, adjoining the State Fairgrounds.

Proceeds from the vendor sign-up for the show along with the GEHS Music Boosters concession and bake sale will go towards the special scholarship fund which assists students meet their financial responsibilities for participation in the storied instrumental music program at GEHS  and other financial needs of the award winning band.

Other than the vendor fee, the only obligation the band members are asking vendors is to provide a door prize to be awarded during the day to a customer who must be present to win, Jasperse concluded.

The show is being presented in conjunction with the Lewisburg Merchants Holiday open house and the Clifton Forge, VA, School of the Arts “Kristalnaut.” both on the Friday and Saturday of the same weekend.
