On Saturday, June 9, Davis Stuart will hold its third annual horse show at the State Fair of West Virginia show grounds.
The show will take place rain or shine. Registration begins at 10 a.m. and the first class will start at 11 a.m. Community members and youth will be able to participate in 23 classes. For a complete list of the classes, you can visit the Davis Stuart Facebook page or call the main office at 304- 647-5577. Refreshments will be available to purchase throughout the day.
This event is a fundraiser for the Equine Assisted Therapy Program at Davis Stuart’s main campus, located just outside of Lewisburg. The equine therapy program does not receive funding through the West Virginia Department of Health and Human Resources, so it must rely on the support of the community and private funders to keep the program available for the young people who call Davis Stuart home.
Davis Stuart is a private, nonprofit organization that has been serving youth and families throughout West Virginia for nearly 100 years. For more information on Davis Stuart’s therapeutic residential programming or ways you can help, visit www.davisstuart.org or call 304-647-5577.
