Darles Darlene Clendenin
White Sulphur Springs-Darles Darlene Clendenin, 75, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, Feb. 12, 2015.
Darles was born Feb. 6, 1940, to Jonas and Lucille Sparks.
She was retired from The Greenbrier Hotel Laundry after 46 years of service. She enjoyed cooking for her family, spending time with her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jonas Sparks and Lucille Sparks; brother, Buck Sparks, and grandson, Joshua Clendenin.
She is survived by: her loving husband of 56 years, Chuck Clendenin; her two sons, Charlie Clendenin of Maxwelton and Jimmy (Rhonda) Clendenin of Alvon; sister, Charlotte Dodd of Caldwell; brother, Leslie (Gloria) Sparks of White Sulphur Springs; six grandchildren, Jonas (Becky), Joshua, Jacob, Luke, Jessie (Michael), and Cody (Courtney); four great-grandchildren, Matthew, Caitlynn, Caleb and Emily.

A visitation will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 21, at Alvon United Methodist Church with a short memorial service at 4 p.m. Pastors Buck Caldwell, Gerald Roberts and Bobby McClintic will officiate.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Alvon United Methodist Church.
