Get amazing spring plant starts from Frances Smith of F&F Greenhouse at the Lewisburg Farmers Market.

Davis Stuart students participating in the ProStart Culinary Program with mentor Lisa Carter of Blue Moon Bagels will be cooking and serving sausage and egg biscuits and lettuce wraps this Saturday at the Lewisburg Farmers Market pop-up kitchen.

Most of the ingredients will be sourced that morning from market vendors, including eggs, sausage from Dogwood Hill Gardens, and Red Sail Lettuce from Laurel Creek Farm. Stop in and taste the difference fresh local ingredients can make in a traditional favorite.

The Lewisburg Farmers Market is host to several vendors with plant starts, including tomatoes, peppers, herbs, vegetables, natives, and flowers. Francis Smith of F&F Greenhouse, and FFA students from Greenbrier West will be set up this Saturday with hardy bedding plants at great prices. The Lewisburg Farmers Market is open Saturdays from April – October, and vendors have bagels, bread, baked goods, Persian food, greens, vegetables, herbs, pork, poultry, lamb, beef, eggs, chair massage, one-of-a-kind, crafts, and kid’s activities, and if you are lucky, live music with some jammin’ string musicians. LFM accepts SNAP, EBT, Senior Coupons and credit cards.

The members of the Lewisburg Farmers Market believe a single farmers market location would benefit customers, vendors, and the community. We are willing to do our part, and have been working to create that outcome for several years.
