The Pearl S. Buck Birthplace Foundation, through a grant from the Pocahontas County Convention and Visitors Bureau 2015 Calvin W. Price Appalachian Enrichment Series, presents the 2015 PSBBF Creative Writing Workshop The Gateway Between Your Story and Your Self, with – Sherrell Wigal, on Sept. 19.
The workshop will be held at the Sydenstricker Cabin on the Pearl S. Buck Birthplace Museum property on Route 219 in Hillsboro, from 1-4:30 p.m. Beginning, intermediate and advanced writers are welcome and encouraged to attend these free and open-to-the public workshops. Please bring writing materials. Refreshments will be served.
The final event in the 2015 series will feature Parkersburg poet Wigal as workshop leader. Her workshop will focus on expression of a personal connection with your material. Whether you write poetry, prose or memoir this workshop will be a hands-on experience, filled with exercises and discussions geared to lead you to the telling of your stories and your experiences.
