During their meeting on Aug. 11, the Greenbrier County Commission set dates for public hearings on two measures. Public hearings on the proposed increase of hotel occupancy tax are set for Wednesday, Sept. 2 at 11 a.m. and Thursday, Sept. 3 at 6 p.m. Both meetings will be held at Commission Chambers in the Greenbrier County Courthouse.
Public hearings on the proposed zoning changes are set for Monday, Sept. 14 at noon and Tuesday, Sept. 15 at 6 p.m. Both hearings on the zoning changes will be held at the Fairgrounds in the Gus Douglass building.

The commission approved the Estate Settlements of Carl Sylvester Simmons, Jr., Kester Dean Ramsey, Charles James Danley and Edward Wilson Rock.
The commission approved a transfer of $17,000 to cover invoices from Western Greenbrier Little League, Greenbrier Valley Aquatic Center and Meadow River Trail. The commission also approved invoices for engineering and construction in the amount of $52,932 for the Mapledale Water Storage project and $43,615 for the Ridges water project.
The commission voted to donate a 2013 Dodge Durango to Lewis-Upshur County Animal Control. The Lewis-Upshur Animal Control lost its vehicle to flooding in July.
The next Greenbrier County Commission Meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, Aug. 25 at 10 a.m.
