During its regular meeting on Sept. 29, 2026, the Greenbrier County Commission announced the locations and times of early voting for the November General Election. Citizens may vote early at the Greenbrier County Courthouse located at 912 Court Street N in Lewisburg and Rupert City Hall located at 528 Nicholas Street in Rupert, from Oct. 21 through Oct. 31.

The hours for early voting in Lewisburg are 8 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday and 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. on Saturdays.

The early voting polling place in Rupert was moved from its previous location at the Rupert Community Building to Rupert City Hall due to water damage at the former. Voting times at the Rupert location are from 8:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday and 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. on Saturdays.

The commission approved the settlements for the estates of Diana Sue Turner, Mary E. Smith, Marcia Kay King, Sandra Lee Woodrum, Joyce Ann Housby, Loretta Faye Cadle and Delores Jane Bennett.

In financial business, the commission approved the transfers of funds totaling $43,975. The funds were transferred to pay obligations to county libraries, Greenbrier United Soccer, Alderson 4th of July, and the Meadow River Trail Project.

The commission approved a laundry list of updates to the zoning ordinance. The updates primarily pertained to how various businesses will be zoned. For more information citizens may visit greenbrierwv.gov.

In personnel-related business, the commission approved the appointment of McKenzie Taylor to the Public Defender Corporation Board of Directors and Hannah Spencer to Director of the Farmland Protection Board.
