Cosmetology ceremony marks end of summer sessions

The pinning ceremony for New River Community and Technical College’s summer cosmetology graduates took place on Thursday, Aug. 4, at the Kyle and Ann Fort Arts and Sciences Building on the Greenbrier Valley Campus.
Cosmetology is one of the most popular programs offered at New River CTC. The comprehensive one-year program prepares students for employment in the beauty industry.
In addition to cosmetology, massage therapy, nursing, paramedic, phlebotomy, and nursing classes, as well as, general education classes are offered at the Greenbrier Valley Campus. A full schedule of classes is posted online at www.newriver.edu and hard copies are available at the campus in Lewisburg and One Room University, Marlinton.
The deadline to register for fall classes is Friday, Aug. 12. To make an appointment to register at New River CTC’s Greenbrier Valley Campus, call 304-647-6560.
