The Summers County Commission has announced the schedule for a community meeting concerning the recent closure of the Greenbrier Valley Rural Volunteer Fire Department in Talcott by the West Virginia State Fire Commission. The meeting will be held at the Talcott Elementary School, located in Talcott, on Saturday, June 18, at 6 p.m.
Member of the Summers County Commission, Summers County Firefighters Association and the Summers County Fire Service Board will be in attendance to help answer any question related to this closure and the formation of a new volunteer fire department to serve the Talcott Fire District.
All residents of the areas served by the Greenbrier Valley Rural Volunteer Fire Department are urged to attend this meeting.
