The Good Neighbors Community Clothes Closet in White Sulphur Springs has lots of winter clothing now available for men, women and children. The inventory includes long and short coats and jackets, shoes/boots, sweaters, winter scarves, pants, jeans, leisure wear and much more. All clothing is free, clean and gently used and displayed in an organized setting.
Prior to closing for the winter months, the GNCCC is open each Saturday in November and Saturday, Dec. 4 from 9 a.m. to noon, and Monday, Dec. 6, from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The public is invited and encouraged to stop in and take advantage of the free clothing outreach before the first week in December. Plans are to reopen the clothes closet in mid-March of next year.
The Good Neighbors Community clothing bank, operated by volunteers, is sponsored by the Emmanuel United Methodist Church, 136 Hanna Lane (one block from the Main Street/Dry Creek Road intersection in White Sulphur Springs). The entrance to the closet area is by outside steps only and is not handicap accessible. COVID-19 safety and health precautions are in place with masks recommended. Patrons are requested not to bring their own shopping bags as take-home bags are provided. Items are not returnable.
Please note that NO clothing donations are being accepted at this time and EUMC kindly requests that NO donations be dropped off and left unattended at any entrance on the church property. If there is an urgent need for clothing during the time when the GNCCC is closed, please call 304-536-3419 or the church office at 304-536-1291 and leave a message.
