Come sample food and beer at Wild Game Cook-off in WSS

The fifth annual While Game Cook-off will be held on Saturday, Oct. 7. A fundraiser for White Sulphur Springs Main Street, the Wild Game Cook-off celebrates the area’s Appalachian culture with great food, live music, and a beer garden hosted by Greenbrier Valley Brewing Company.

Admission is $15 and includes samples (seconds are encouraged) of all the recipes, refreshments, and two beer tickets for those of age. The food service portion of the afternoon is from 3-5 p.m. at Butler Hall at St. Thomas Episcopal Church in White Sulphur Springs.

All proceeds go to White Sulphur Springs Main Street and the continued recovery and revitalization efforts. The cook-off officials are working with the WSS Farmer’s Market to present the first ever Harvest Market in conjunction with the event. Also at Butler Hall, the Harvest Market will open at noon and conclude at the end of the cook-off. Tickets went on sale Monday, Sept. 25, at are available at the Greenbrier Valley Brewing Company in Lewisburg.
