The West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine (WVSOM) is hosting “The Collage Connection Workshop – Images, Metaphors and Myth – A Creative Workshop for Client Integration and Self-Care.”

The workshop will take place from 7-9:30 p.m., Friday, May 1, and from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Saturday, May 2, on the WVSOM campus. Drawing on the teachings of Carl Jung, the workshop process uses active imagination in a unique way. Participants will use multiple tissue paper colors to create collages, engage in somatic exercises and explore how one’s inner landscape informs his/her life. The experiential workshop provides counselors and mental health professionals with an opportunity to learn how to integrate expressive art, somatic awareness and meditation into their work.

The total cost of the two-day workshop is $125 and includes eight continuing education credits for licensed professional counselors, a continental breakfast on Saturday and all supplies. The workshop will be taught by Karen Stefano, Ed.M., LPC, NCC.

Space is limited, so those interested in attending are encouraged to respond as soon as possible to ensure a seat. To register, e-mail aspire@osteo.wvsom.edu.
